About me!

I’m Sadia, a PhD student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, currently working in the SSBio Lab.

I have completed my bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh. With a foundation in biomedical systems and technologies, my experience spans areas such as assistive device development, health data monitoring, biomedical signal processing, and biosensing approaches for early disease detection. I have also gained experience in clinical data processing within a healthcare-focused industry setting during my tenure at Augmedix Bangladesh. This progression has led me to explore metabolic engineering as a complementary direction within my current research interests.

At UNL, my research focuses on applying computational biology to investigate complex biological systems and to advance human health.

Currently, my work explores melanin excretion dynamics in a polyextremotolerant fungal system.

In my free time, I enjoy singing, watching movies, and cooking for my family, as well as exploring nature and new cities.
